NMC is currently recruiting a Pharmacy Technician, in the Pharmacy. The position is Per-diem, hours are variable between 7 am - 7:00 pm (8 hour shifts) with rotating weekends. Eligible for Vermont State Pharmacy Technician registration and certification within 6 months of hire.Experience: Previous hospital or medical experience, particularly with medication preferred.RELATIONSHIPS:Reports To: Pharmacy ManagerPerforms duties under the supervision and control of a licensed PharmacistSupervises:NoneOther Contacts: Medical staff, nursing staff and other hospital employees, patients, public, vendor representativesSCOPE:Machinery or Equipment Used: Pharmaceutical and office equipment including; compounding equipment, infection administration equipment, unit-dose equipment, labeling materials, personal computer, and other office equipmentPhysical Demands:Manual dexterity and mobility, ability to stand/walk for protracted periodWorking Conditions: May be exposed to infections and contagious diseases.
