As a PRN Inpatient Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in moving medications throughout the facility to enhance patient care. You will join a team that empowers every caregiver to make valuable contributions to patient-focused care, teaching, and research activities. This team embraces a positive attitude and respects and supports one another to provide the best care possible.
Job Responsibilities
A caregiver in this position works day/evening/night/weekend, 6:00am-2:30pm.
- Provide distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the Registered Pharmacist.
- Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems.
- Fill medications carts daily.
- Prepare orders and maintain inventory for the pharmacy department.
- Repackage bulk medications.
Minimum Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED
- Registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy. You must be eligible for registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy and register within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). CPhT through the PTCB is required within 18 months of hire.
- Six months of hospital experience

- Typical physical demands include ability to perform functions of the job while reaching and stretching, and manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer functions of job.
