Position Highlights:Position: Pharmacy TechnicianJob Type: Full-TimeLocation: Inpatient PharmacyResponsibilities:Process and fill prescriptions accurately for both inpatient and outpatient needsMaintain drug inventory by tracking stock levels, ordering supplies, and checking expiration datesRestock automated dispensing cabinets and medication cartsAnswer phone calls and provide excellent customer service to patients and staffMaintain accurate patient records and pharmacy documentationComply with hospital, state, and federal regulations regarding medication handlingPerform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and equipment maintenance tasksSupport billing and insurance claim processes as neededAdhere to established procedures to ensure medication safety and confidentialityAbide by all current United States Pharmacopeia (USP) recommendations at all times. •Prepare sterile and non-sterile products within current USP guidelines. Sterile products include both non-hazardous and hazardous medications.Responsible for maintaining the integrity of all compounding areas through cleaning and proper use.Responsible for completing patient billing in a thorough and timely manner.Responsible for inter-departmental billing as assigned.All other duties as assigned.Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent with at least two (2) years pharmacy technician experience preferred, but not required.
