Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Pharmacy Contact Representative! In this role, you will be pivotal in providing exceptional customer service by handling pharmacy-related calls from members, providers, and pharmacies. Your efforts will contribute to enhancing medication management and the overall quality of care for our members. Shift Available: 12:30-9 PM MST Key Responsibilities Manage inbound and outbound pharmacy calls efficiently while adhering to departmental policies, state regulations, and quality assurance guidelines. Facilitate the processing of pharmacy prior authorization requests and appeals. Provide clear explanations of claims adjudication processes and relevant policies to various stakeholders. Support workflow by assisting with clerical tasks and other operations within the pharmacy call center. Effectively communicate plan benefits, including formulary details and prior authorization outcomes. Aid members and providers in initiating coverage determinations and appeals. Document calls accurately in the pharmacy tracking system. Meet established benchmarks for quality and quantity in call handling. Collaborate with primary care providers to maintain current and accurate member registries. Support pharmacists in preparing for comprehensive medication reviews (CMRs). Identify opportunities to enhance member relations in the pharmacy call center. Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or call center roles, or a combination of relevant education and experience. Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently on special projects. Proficiency in handling multiple applications while conversing with members. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with coworkers, clients, members, and providers. Capacity to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel) and other relevant software. Preferred Qualifications Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or an active state pharmacy technician license, if applicable. Experience in the healthcare industry.
