The Pharmacy Technician II assists the Pharmacist in the preparation of prescriptions as permitted by state law. Primary Responsibilities: Maintains good customer service by accepting prescriptions or refill requests, processing sales and answering questions for customers Achieve customer satisfaction by promptly processing prescriptions, sales transactions, and answering questions Other duties include stocking and pricing over the counter (OTC) items, maintaining the OTC areas, processing clinic medication requisitions, and other duties as required by the pharmacist Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years of retail pharmacy experience or completion of an accredited pharmacy technician program Proven TSBP registration Demonstrated ability to read merchandise labels and invoices; to ask and answer questions over the phone; to write information on prescriptions Demonstrated ability to communicate with customer to handle complaints and problems Demonstrated ability to operate computer terminal for processing prescriptions Math cash handling - demonstrated ability to add and subtract; able to make change; able to complete daily cash report Proven typing skills 20 WPM Proven stress tolerance - to receive prescriptions and ring up sales in a fast-paced environment Proven physical stamina - to work in fast paced environment, and maneuver around pharmacy Preferred Qualifications: PTCB Certification HMO and third party managed care experience Proven 10 key by touch Proven to know when to refer questions, problems, and complaints to a pharmacist The hourly range for this role is $16.00 to $28.85 per hour based on full-time employment.
