Job Title: Patient Service Representative
Job Description
As a Patient Service Representative, you will play a pivotal role in the smooth operation of our services by distributing mail, reports, and written communication to designated parties. You will perform essential tasks such as account maintenance, faxing, scanning, and copying, while efficiently addressing customer issues and escalating complex cases when necessary. Special projects will be assigned as needed.
Responsibilities
Distribute mail, reports, and written communication to designated parties.
Perform account maintenance, faxing, scanning, and copying tasks.
Identify and resolve customer issues promptly and efficiently.
Escalate complex cases to appropriate departments when necessary.
Undertake special projects as assigned.
Essential Skills
1+ year of EPIC experience.
Experience working in a multi-specialty ambulatory clinic.
Ability to communicate with insurance companies.
Understanding of the claims process.
Medical billing knowledge.
Experience in the healthcare industry.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Insurance verification.
Customer service expertise.
Data entry proficiency.
Work Environment
This position operates in a clinic environment with a hybrid work model, requiring one day per week onsite after a few weeks of training. The location offers free parking and a shuttle service from the MBTA commuter rail station. The work environment is designed to support productivity and collaboration, with essential technology and equipment provided.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
