Responsibilities:

Advise clients on domestic and international trademark clearance, prosecution , and enforcement strategies.

Conduct knockout and full clearance searches and provide risk assessments on brand adoption and expansion.

Draft and respond to Office Actions , oppositions, and cancellation proceedings before the USPTO and foreign IP offices.

Manage global trademark portfolios , including renewals, filings, and correspondence with foreign associates.

Draft and negotiate trademark licenses, coexistence agreements , and consent letters.

Support brand teams and in-house counsel on trademark use and brand protection strategy .

Minimum Qualifications:

JD or equivalent with active U.S. bar membership in good standing.

5–10 years of trademark law experience , including USPTO practice and international portfolio management.

Strong written communication and client advisory skills.

Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote or flexible setting.

Preferred Skills:

Prior in-house trademark or brand counsel experience is a plus.

Experience working with marketing, brand, or product teams .

Background in tech, consumer goods, energy, or healthcare sectors is helpful.

Houston-based or located in Texas preferred, though remote candidates will be considered.
