QualDerm Partners is actively seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant to join our dedicated team in Fredericksburg, VA. As a Regular Part-Time Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality patient care in a flexible work environment. You will assist in various clinical functions and contribute to the overall patient experience in our practice. Responsibilities

Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and recording medical history.
Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments are ready.
Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential patient records.
Schedule appointments and handle office communications efficiently.
Educate patients regarding treatment plans, medications, and aftercare.
Ensure examination rooms are clean, organized, and well-stocked with supplies.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
Prior experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in a clinical dermatology setting.
Familiarity with medical terminology related to dermatology.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients and team members.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain patient confidentiality.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a busy environment.
Basic proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and standard office software.
