An elementary ESOL educator is sought for a part-time position in Atlanta, GA, to provide focused language development instruction to English Language Learners (ELL) in grades K-4. This opportunity involves supporting a small caseload with targeted, daily sessions designed to promote English proficiency and inclusion in the general education setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver daily ESOL instruction through 4560-minute sessions tailored to students language proficiency
Conduct WIDA screenings to assess additional students for ESOL services
Collaborate with classroom teachers and school staff to integrate language acquisition strategies across content areas
Monitor, document, and report student progress on language development goals
Provide individualized support to help students develop academic language skills and engage fully in learning
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelors degree and state certification in ESOL with at least two years of experience teaching ELL students; OR a bachelors degree, teacher certification, and current enrollment in a gifted endorsement program
Experience supporting English language learners in elementary grades K-4
Familiarity with language proficiency assessments such as WIDA
Competence using Google Workspace, Parent Square, Liveschool, or similar educational software
Details:
Location: Atlanta, GA (one elementary school campus)
Position Type: Part-time, approximately 57.5 hours per week
Schedule: In-person, daily sessions lasting 45 to 60 minutes
Duration: Immediate start through May 2026
