At Piedmont Airlines, we take pride in providing top-notch service to our customers and airline partners. To maintain our high standards, we are seeking a motivated and dependable individual to become a Customer Service Agent in our Ground Handling Department. Your primary role will involve assisting passengers with boarding and disembarking flights, operating the Jetway, monitoring computerized boarding systems, and guiding and parking aircraft. Successful candidates will complete our training program, be physically fit to lift up to seventy (70) pounds, and be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. This position reports to the General Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist passengers in boarding and disembarking flights.
Monitor computerized passenger boarding systems.
Support customers with special needs, including arranging wheelchairs and assisting unaccompanied minors.
Modify customer flight itineraries and seat assignments as necessary.
Operate the Jetway efficiently.
Load and unload luggage and cargo safely.
Operate motorized service vehicles and equipment.
Guide and park aircraft accurately.
Perform essential cabin maintenance tasks.
Collaborate as a team to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve company goals.
Job Qualifications:
Successful completion of training program.
Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment while meeting customer expectations.
Strong communication skills.
Capable of organizing, prioritizing, and multitasking effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in the airline industry.
Experience in front-line customer service roles.
Basic familiarity with computer applications and software.
Work Environment:
Utilization of computers, telephones, and other office equipment.
Work in an airport ramp setting, with exposure to varying weather conditions and elevated noise levels.
Availability for all shifts, including weekends, nights, holidays, and irregular shifts.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent movements including stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, standing, reaching, lifting, and climbing stairs.
Capacity to handle objects weighing up to 70 pounds regularly.
Ability to assist passengers with disabilities, including pushing wheelchairs.

Employment is contingent upon possessing a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, completing a 10-year Criminal History Records Check, and passing a drug screening as required. Proof of high school diploma or GED is also necessary. Minimum age requirement is 18 years.

Starting Rate:
$16.57/Hourly
