Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time CDL B Truck Driver responsible for the safe delivery and pickup of containers to and from customer locations. This role requires maintaining excellent rapport with customers while ensuring all deliveries and pickups are incident-free. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Drive and operate a commercial truck with a patented lift mechanism, safely loading and unloading containers at customer sites. Perform daily pre and post-trip inspections of commercial vehicles and lift equipment. Accept additional deliveries as needed to meet business demands. Utilize a company handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation purposes. Operate a forklift and/or an overhead crane as required. Clean and inspect containers to ensure they are ready for presentation to customers. Coordinate rental paperwork and payment processing with customers. Communicate effectively with the Driver Lead or Market Manager to address customer inquiries and issues, preparing driver notes as necessary. Conduct repairs on containers and lifts, both in the field and at the storage center. Provide backup for storage center functions when required. Maintain a clean and debris-free truck cab. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. Management & Supervisory Responsibilities: This position reports to management, typically to a Market Manager or Territory Manager. The position is not responsible for managing other employees, including hiring, termination, or pay decisions. General Benefits: Safety bonuses available for driver positions. Boot voucher and uniforms are provided. Job Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required. Valid CDL Class B License without air brake restriction is essential. Must maintain a current/valid driver’s license. Must comply with PODS Driver Qualification Standards. Minimum age of 21 years required (insurance requirement). Must possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate or be able to obtain a minimum of a 1-year certification (DOT requirement). Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software is preferred. Sufficient math skills to perform necessary duties. Ability to complete a 2-week New Hire Driver Training Program.
