Overview Part-Time Assistant Manager Level 1 at Hot Topic. We are looking for music and pop culture fans to help create the best experience for our customers. You will support the store leadership team in delivering an exceptional customer experience, train new recruits, and assist in daily store operations to meet sales targets. Responsibilities Provide an amazing shopping experience that encourages customers to return, leveraging product knowledge and customer service skills. Step in and provide leadership on the sales floor when the manager is away. Open and close the store as needed. Operate the register, process sales transactions, and drive add-on sales using available options such as BOPIS and curbside pickup; communicate shortages or overages to the Store Manager. Understand store sales plan, comp sales goals, and key KPIs (UPT, ADT). Assist with planogram changes including store map, wall, fixtures, and merchandising mix. Share fashion and music trend information with management and HQ partners. Prevent theft in partnership with Store Management and maintain store security practices. Maintain the stock room and keep the store tidy; support stock operations as needed. Develop and retain a collaborative, passionate team to run the store alongside you. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Store Leader. Qualifications At least 1 year of retail store experience. If you love music and pop culture, you are in the right place. Strong communication, time management, professionalism, operational skills, and a drive to develop teammates. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products using approved equipment, and lift boxes up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
