Job Type Part-timeDescriptionShift : Tuesdays and Thursdays 4AM to noon plus one other float day per week 4AM to noon and every other Saturday 6AM-9AM Community Medical Services (CMS) is urgently hiring a Nurse to administer medication to patients recovering from addictions to opioids and other illicit substances. In your role as a dosing nurse, you'll work under the supervision of the Nursing Manager and the Director of Medical and Nursing Operations to conduct required testing, maintain the medication inventory, audit records, and assist medical providers in providing a safe place for anyone looking to start their recovery journey with us.As part of our mission to help individuals recover from substance use disorders, you'll thrive in a supportive, engaging, and fulfilling work environment where your contributions are valued.Along the way, we'll invest in your well-being through a benefits package for part-time employees that includes:Paid sick401K retirement plan with matchWe're looking for someone who:Is excited to work in an outpatient setting, much like a doctor's office.Enjoys a consistent schedule.Likes to chat-you won't be physically moving patients in this role, but you will be having conversations with them all day.To thrive in this role, you must be able to:Administer medications as ordered/prescribed by a CMS medical providerMonitor behavioral patterns, medical symptoms, and physical symptoms related to dosage, as well as other symptoms related to drug use and mental health concernsObtain vital signs, blood specimens, and urine samplesProcess point-of-care urine drug screens per company policyPrepare take-home medication (n/a in Montana)Monitor medication administration closely to prevent diversionReport diversion to proper internal authoritiesMaintain accurate client records in company's EHR systemDocument medication errors and respond to adverse medical reactions per company policyArrange temporary incoming and outgoing courtesy dosing clientsDeliver medications to external facilitiesOrder necessary dosing room and nursing-related suppliesMaintain accurate medication inventory recordsAdhere to all federal, state, local, and accrediting body regulationsAdminister CPR if necessary Requirements Licensed LPN or RN in state of employmentCPR certification requiredAbility to travel to assigned CMS sitesExperience in the field of substance use disorders preferred, but not requiredKnowledge of the signs of intoxication and opioid withdrawal symptomsDemonstrates accuracy in medication administration and ability to maintain accurate client recordsMust have reliable transportation#NURAbout Community Medical ServicesCommunity Medical Services (CMS) is a CARF-accredited addiction treatment program providing services in the form of outpatient medication-assisted treatment and one-on-one and group counseling to those seeking help with their opioid use disorder.
