Our team is growing and we are looking for a committed and versatile individual for our high volume kitchen. This position is a part time, 18-25hr/week role. Weekend availability is a must. Starting at $18/hr + tips.
Line Cook Job Responsibilities:
Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies. Prepares food items by cutting, portioning, mixing, and most importantly, breading proteins Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sauteing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage. Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.
On our team, we believe in supporting each other both on the line as well as for the next day. We all pitch in on washing dishes and everyone eats. If you are a hard-working individual who can work strongly alone as well as with a team, please submit your resume.

At Tanaka, comfort meets contemporary. We offer an all-day breakfast and lunch menu featuring katsu sandwiches, baked goods, and more all made with delightful ingredients sourced from the Pacific Northwest. Japanese comfort food, artisanal baking, and of course the katsu sauce are at the forefront of what we make. Our 70 year-old katsu sauce is made from a tomato base with sweet, subtle notes of apple, pear, and dates. Our pastries are infused with flavors commonly found in Japanese cuisine. Everything is baked on-site daily and made with locally sourced ingredients.
The ideal candidate will be willing to learn all aspects of the operation, including bakery and washing dishes when necessary.
