Compensation: $23.01 /hr

Overview / Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Part-Time IOT Controls Technician to join our advanced technology team. In this role, you will support the development and implementation of IoT (Internet of Things) solutions, where you will apply your skills in automation and controls. Your expertise will help advance our educational offerings and enhance the student learning experience in the field of IoT and automation technologies.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to:
Assist in the setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of IoT devices and control systems.
Participate in the installation and maintenance of smart technology in laboratory settings.
Support faculty in the development of IoT-related curriculum and lab activities.
Conduct testing and evaluation of new IoT technologies and systems.
Provide hands-on support to students during labs and projects, coaching them on best practices in IoT controls.
Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and contribute to project reports.
Requirements
Education:
Relevant degree or certification in Automation, Controls Technology, or a related field preferred.
Experience & Skills Needed:
1-2 year’s experience with one or more of the following preferred: Data Analytics, PLC’s, Industrial Sensors, Robotics, Industrial Operating Systems, Integrated Computer Networks
Knowledge of software installation, computer imaging and deployment
Ability to troubleshoot and repair modern computers
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Ability to fulfill all duties with minimal supervision and to work independently
Problem solving and critical thinking skills
Strong math, spelling, computer, and calculator abilities
Ability to communicate in a professional, calm and courteous manner with the general public and employees
