Amavida is recruiting for a hospitality focused Pantry Cook to join our team! This position is responsible for food preparation and execution, with some dessert capability and is responsible for maintaining a superior level of quality service and cleanliness at all times.
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Pantry Cook: Exemplify at all times Community standards of cleanliness, sanitation and operational organization. Responsible for adhering to food quality, appearance and presentation standards at all times. Assists in the preparation of all meals and performs routine kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes. Follows all prep lists created by chefs to plan duties. Labels and stocks all ingredients on shelves so that everything is organized and easily accessible. Prepares cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, etc. May undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, boiling food, preparing salads, etc. Represents the community in a warm and inviting manner, which creates a positive marketing environment. Supports creating a culture where the business decisions made in this position, along with individual employee engagement, drive top-line revenue and occupancy. Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have: High school diploma At least two (2) years of food service experience in a commercial setting preferred Minimum of one year restaurant/senior living or equivalent cooking experience preferred Pay Range: Starting at $17.00/hour EEO Employer
