Summary
The Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service to guests in a courteous, timely, and professional manner. This role requires knowledge of drink recipes, proper service etiquette, and compliance with Hyatt standards while maintaining a clean and organized bar.
Responsibilities
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to Hyatt standards and guest requests
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, including glassware, utensils, and equipment
Verify age requirements for customers ordering alcoholic beverages in accordance with state and local laws
Accurately process guest orders, handle cash and credit card transactions, and balance assigned bank at the end of shift
Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations and enhancing their overall experience
Monitor guest alcohol consumption and act responsibly to ensure guest safety and compliance with hotel policies
Restock bar inventory and supplies as needed throughout shift
Work collaboratively with servers, hosts, and culinary colleagues to deliver seamless service
Qualifications:
Previous bartending experience preferred; hospitality or hotel bar experience a plus
Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and beverage preparation techniques
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent communication and guest service skills
Must be at least 21 years of age (per local/state requirements)
Food Handler and Alcohol Server certifications (where required)
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
