Orderly (Pacu, OR) Spanish speaking preferred ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Transports patients. Helps with moving patients. Helps with dressing patients. Helps to ensure patient safety. Assists nurses and/or techs with transferring patients or helping to move or position patients. Also may help in moving heavy equipment.Cleans operating room suites, other restricted areas and Pacu as needed. Helps with any emergency cleaning in patient restrooms or in other areas around the Center. Cleans vertical and horizontal surfaces that collect dust. Cleans tops of windows, doorframes, TV's, and other high places, using ladder when necessary. Dusts, cleans and polishes furniture including beds.Re-stocks supplies, linens and fills the blanket warmers in the sterile areas Pacu as needed. Washes sinks and other plumbing fixtures and replaces supplies, such as paper-towels, soap and toilet paper as needed. Polishes metal or other bright surfaces, cleaning glass and enamel fixtures with proper cleaning chemicals. Cleans stretchers and beds and replaces sheets and linen as needed. Maintains equipment storage rooms. Performs other daily assignments as needed. Assists in maintaining the cleanliness of any area at the Center as need but likely to focus in Pacu and OR.May help set up specialized equipment in Spine, Breast, Orthopedic and Vascular procedures. Disposes all linen and trash in the appropriate manner. Empties and replaces sharps containers in all rooms. Mops floors in all areas on a daily basis. Use of dry and wet mop for floors in the OR suites, other side areas, hallways and other areas as assigned. Perform other job related duties as assigned by leadership.REQUIREMENTS: Experience with patient contact preferred. BLS required. Previous patient attendant or orderly experience preferred. Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
