River Oaks Country Club is a nationally recognized, platinum Club that has served its Members for 100 years. We are embarking on our newest dining concept; an upscale, boutique dining experience for our Members. This concept, located in the Oak Room, will serve up to a maximum of 22 Members and will be available on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from c.5.00pm - 10.00pm.

Commission structure with guaranteed minimum shift rate of $150 or higher depending on sales ~ Commission includes 22% on food, 10% on beverage
~ Thursday - Saturday evenings, c.5.00 - 10.00 pm ~
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide quick, efficient and courteous service to the members. Memorize the menu and be able to confidently speak to it and answer Member questions. Provide Members with appropriate wine pairing options and defer to the Beverage Manager as required. Greet and seat Members in a friendly and efficient manner. Take accurate food and drink orders from customers. Ensure the dining room is set correctly at the beginning of shift and appropriately broken down at the end of shift; Complete specific opening and closing duties as assigned. Enter orders into the POS system. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery. Maintain and organize all tables and front of house areas through service. Organize and restock back of house service areas. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dining area. Assist with food preparation, handling, and service as needed. Execute the set up and breakdown of the room as instructed. Servers must adhere to company safety and sanitation policies and promote cleanliness in the workplace. Qualifications Proven success in private Clubs, upscale restaurants or high-end resort restaurants of note. Enjoys working in an environment that is smaller scale and more intimate. TABC and Texas Food Handler Certified. Multi years' experience in the front-of-house restaurant world with at least 2 years' experience in a fine dining environment. Able to use a POS with competence. High school diploma preferred; Fluent English speaker; Reliable transport. Strong passion for culinary excellence, possesses some wine knowledge and fine dining service standards. Experience explaining a full menu, including wine pairings in a confident, easy-to-understand manner. Personal Characteristics Able to work well without direct supervision. Knows what to do and does not hesitate to do it. Is easy to approach and talk with; You are warm, pleasant and gracious. Cool under pressure; You listen and think before reacting. You naturally act with the Member in mind; You are dedicated to exceeding Member expectations. You genuinely care about people and are available and ready to help.
