About Client A respected healthcare organization is seeking a driven nursing leader to oversee multiple psychiatric and behavioral health units. This position reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer and focuses on delivering strategic nursing oversight, operational excellence, and clinical leadership in a dynamic behavioral health setting.
Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $150,000 - $185,000, based on experience Starting Bonus: Up to $40,000 Relocation Assistance: Available for exceptional candidates Shift: Not specified Benefits Package: Full suite including health, dental, vision, retirement, and interview travel reimbursement
Job Summary
This role offers an opportunity to lead clinical operations and drive high standards of patient care in behavioral health units. The Director of Behavioral Health Nursing will manage staff, ensure compliance, and implement strategies that improve care delivery and team performance.
Key Responsibilities Lead daily clinical operations across designated behavioral health units Ensure patient care quality, safety, and regulatory compliance standards are met Collaborate with senior leadership and interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes Develop and implement unit-based care strategies Mentor and support unit managers and charge nurses Maintain 24/7 responsibility including staffing, scheduling, and budget oversight Advocate for nursing professionalism and excellence
Minimum Requirements Active RN license in Massachusetts (or eligibility to transfer) Bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare-related field Minimum 2 years of behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience Minimum 2 years in a leadership role within a hospital setting Current CPR certification Ideal Qualifications MSN or master's degree in a healthcare-related field Strong leadership presence and clinical judgment Experience managing multi-unit teams with focus on aligning staff to quality care goals Collaborative mindset with ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
