Salary Range: $101.85 - $142.58 Position Summary:The Nurse Manager is an operational manager designated as the leaderfor the Special Care Nursery (SCN), its patient population, and assigned staff. The Nurse Manager has 24 hour responsibility and accountability for all patient care activities, unit operations, and staff competency. The Nurse Manager in SCN provides supervision for professional and specialized education for staff, patients, and their families. The Nurse Manager assists with the transition to practice of newly hired Patient Care Services for staff. The Nurse Manager will assist Nursing Leadership with the planning and implementation of remedial plans for staff, staff development activities and in-service education.Qualifications: Graduate from a school of nursing with a current California RN License. Bachelor Degree in nursing from an accredited program. Certification within area and/or administrative certification preferred. BLS/NRP required. Demonstrated expertise in clinical nursing practice with minimum of three years experience. Demonstrated expertise in management or leadership as either first line or shift supervisor with minimum one year experience. Demonstrated oral and writing skills (in English). Membership in appropriate professional organization required.
