Operating Room Nurse Manager - Clinical Leadership Position

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor OR nursing staff, fostering a culture of clinical excellence and continuous improvement
• Oversee daily operations of the Operating Room department, ensuring efficient scheduling and resource utilization
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdepartmental teams to optimize patient care
• Develop and implement evidence-based policies and procedures
• Manage department budgets, including operating and capital expenditures
• Drive staff development through educational programs and performance evaluations
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and facility leadership meetings

Required Qualifications

• Current Texas RN license or compact state license
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• 5+ years OR nursing experience
• 2+ years OR leadership experience
• Current BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross
• Strong clinical knowledge in surgical nursing
• Excellence in team leadership and communication

Preferred Qualifications

• CNOR certification
• Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration
• Experience with electronic health records and OR management systems
