Albany Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Manager Assistant for our Labor & Delivery unit. This essential position ensures high-quality patient care and supports our nursing team in delivering compassionate care. Position Overview: Work Schedule: 36 hours per week, Days Salary Range: $86,650.99 - $134,309.04 The Nurse Manager Assistant plays a vital role in coordinating and planning nursing operations while collaborating closely with the Administrative Nursing Supervisor, Nurse Manager, and Assistant Vice President of Specialty Nursing. You will mentor professional caregivers and facilitate effective patient care processes throughout the hospitalization journey. Key Responsibilities: Provide visible leadership on the labor and delivery unit, ensuring patients receive competent and compassionate care. Support development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, programs, and services in alignment with the hospital's mission. Foster collaboration among healthcare team members to achieve both short- and long-term objectives. Mentor and support unit-based staff, enhancing their skills and competencies. Qualifications: Education: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required; a Master's in Nursing is preferred. Must hold current New York State Registered Nurse registration or be eligible for licensure. Experience: Management experience is preferred. Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels and with external stakeholders. Create a collaborative environment within the healthcare team. Professional Skills: Demonstrate accountability for decision-making and utilize strong problem-solving skills. Coach and mentor staff for improved performance.
