Assistant Nurse Manager - Labor & Delivery (Night Shift)

Eligible for sign-on bonus! Key Responsibilities: Support implementation of best practices and patient care standards across multiple units. Collaborate with physicians, care teams, and outside providers to ensure safe and quality patient care. Supervise allocation of staff, resources, equipment, supplies, and medications. Ensure a safe environment for patients and employees. Provide clinical supervision, maintain competency, and delegate tasks appropriately. Mentor, coach, and support staff performance and professional development. Supervise daily unit operations and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Support hospital administrative functions including patient safety, quality, labor relations, and risk management. Maintain survey readiness and regulatory compliance (The Joint Commission, Nursing Practice Act, etc.). Monitor budgets, staffing, and patient placement to meet performance targets. Support 24/7 care delivery operations, emergency preparedness, and patient safety initiatives. Lead or support quality improvement projects and operational efficiency initiatives. Ensure standardized, safe, and high-quality care delivery across units. Minimum Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) License - California (required). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required). Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (required). ssociate's degree in Nursing, Health Care, Business, or related field. Minimum 2 years of patient care delivery experience. Minimum 1 year of leadership experience (with or without direct reports). Labor & Delivery (L&D) acute care experience required. Preferred Qualifications: BSN or higher degree. Experience in quality and safety initiatives. Knowledge of Magnet facility standards. Experience with union environments. Strong understanding of evidence-based medicine and regulatory compliance. Prior experience as Charge Nurse, Preceptor, or Educator (minimum 2 years). Additional Details: Position: Full-time, regular employee. Travel: Not required. Compensation: Eligible for annual raises and bonuses. Relocation: Available nationwide. Reports to: Department Manager (with line staff reporting to ANM).
