We seek a qualified candidate to teach music in the classroom, participate in school masses, and develop a student choir. The teacher will plan, organize, and implement an appropriate music program for all grade levels, aligning with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of service. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Music. Florida Department of Education Teacher Certificate, Temporary or Professional required. Proficiency in playing a keyboard instrument used in liturgical celebrations and experience in voice/choral performance. Knowledge of keyboard techniques, liturgical service-playing, group vocal techniques, and choral conducting. Familiarity with sacred music repertoire, both contemporary and traditional. Ability to multitask and maintain accuracy under deadlines. Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with priests, musicians, parishioners, and staff. Effective oral and written English communication skills. Must be a Roman Catholic in good standing, with knowledge of Roman Catholic liturgy and ability to integrate it with musical skills for liturgical celebrations. Supportive of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in a Catholic environment is preferred.
