Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician
Join our team as a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician where you'll be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical systems in a dynamic food manufacturing environment. Your expertise in mechanical, industrial electrical, pneumatic mechanical, PLC, and automation will be crucial to ensuring seamless operations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct mechanical troubleshooting with industrial processing, packing, and peripheral plant equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics accurately.
- Perform machining, metal fabrication, and welding tasks to fabricate small machine parts and guards; welding certification preferred but not required.
- Maintain and repair pneumatic systems including cylinders, valves, accumulators, and compressors.
- Execute pipefitting tasks as needed.
- Utilize relay logic and skilled techniques in high and low voltage electrical wiring.
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting and industrial electrical systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Experience with pneumatic mechanical systems and automation technology.
- Competence in PLCs, compressors, and motor drives.
- Understanding of relay logic and electrical automation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in pipefitting and robotics.
- Knowledge in instrumentation and motor drives.

Work Environment:
Work in a non-climate controlled food manufacturing environment that is clean but experiences seasonal temperature variations. The facility is divided into raw product, distribution, and warehouse areas. Positions available for 3rd shift (11p-7:30a). Uniforms, hair nets, beard nets, non-slip shoes, and butchers aprons are required depending on the area.
Job Type & Location:
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gahanna, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $38.00/hr.
