Mental Health Therapist I-II at Point Quest Pediatric Therapies summary: A Mental Health Therapist I-II provides individual, group, and parent counseling services for students based on their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). They collaborate with school staff to assess and address mental health needs, offer crisis intervention, and maintain confidential documentation. The role requires licensed professionals to engage in ongoing education, supervision, and consultation to support student mental health outcomes effectively.Mental Health Therapist Responsibilities:Counseling Services: Provide individual, group, and/or parent counseling as outlined in each student's IEP.Student Referrals: Create and manage referral assessments for Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS).Collaboration and consultation: Collaborate with school staff to interpret assessment results and develop appropriate interventions.Work closely with teachers, school administrators/directors, and other school personnel to address students' needs and provide insights on mental health issues.Provide consultation and training to school staff and other therapists on mental health topics and effective strategies for supporting students.Therapeutic Support: Offer behavioral support and crisis counseling as needed.Record Keeping and Documentation:Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes on the platform provided by the company.
