MENTAL HEALTH TECH/NIGHT SHIFT

Mental Health Technician University Behavioral Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), a 112-bed psychiatric hospital, has provided quality of care to children and adolescents in central Florida since 1989. The facility, located on a beautiful campus in Orlando, neighbors the University of Central Florida.
The Mental Health Tech provides direct care to patients with psychiatric disorders to ensure the safety and well being of the patients. This is a Full-Time position (12 hour shift/7pm-7:30am).
Essential Job Duties:
Assist other staff members with actively disturbed and violent patients, requesting back-up personnel when needed
Assist in the transfer and discharge of patients by assisting the patient in dressing and collecting personal possessions, valuables and carrying out the established discharge and transfer procedures
Required to attend all mandatory monthly meetings
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelors Degree preferred
Two years experience working in a psychiatric setting
CPR (May be acquired after hire)
Effective Oral and Written Communication Skills
