Materials Solution Handler

Job Title
Receives, verifies and stores materials delivered to replenish stock as ordered by checking purchase order against delivery in accordance with hospital policies and delivery of all supplies to hospital departments. Maintains par levels of solutions, needles and syringes on a regular basis.
Mailroom:
Sort mail upon mail carrier delivery to mailroom (e.g. USPS, Federal Express, UPS), and place mail into proper mail slots for departments, units, affiliates, partners, and individuals. Sort interoffice and interfacility mail, and place mail into proper mail slots for departments, units, affiliates, partners, and individuals. Attempt to make direct delivery of any regular mail, which has not been retrieved by the destination department or individual in more than three days. For urgent mail, attempt delivery upon receipt (e.g. overnight, 2-day, ground mail marked urgent). Make copies or scan documents for facility leaders upon request. Laminate letters or posters upon leadership request. Other mailroom tasks as requested.
Receiving:
Handle all incoming and outgoing freight for the facility. Receive shipments, unwrap pallets, and deliver supplies, equipment, and other packages to the appropriate destination within the hospital. Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of receiving dock. Clear debris and pallets from receiving dock to ensure ease in receiving incoming deliveries. Ensure outgoing freight is retrieved by the courier (e.g. UPS, FedEx). Electronically receive shipments in facility materials management software system. Communicates information regarding shipments received to Purchasing department and other departments to help identify mislabeled or non-labeled incoming packages. Other receiving tasks as requested.
Storeroom:
Break down pallets into lower unit of measure boxes. In a timely manner deliver, restock, and rotate stock to avoid supply expirations. Conduct par level inventories for all hospital areas. Affix patient charge labels on all patient charge items. Assures supplies are received correctly, unpacked and placed in appropriate locations. Make entries into, and maintain facility materials management software system. Answer phone calls for items requested by the medical staff and deliver items as necessary. Gather and place all corrugated materials in a bin for collection by EVS. Enter purchase requisitions for the storeroom items. Report backorders to storeroom buyer and escalate items which are on backorder, allocation, or similar restriction. Perform annual inventory.
Other storeroom tasks as requested.
Qualifications
Full Time, Day Shift
Associates Degree preferred. Minimum of one (1) year of related experience. Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred.

Pay Range: $20.00 per hour
