Material Handler / Forklift

LUMBER is currently looking for a Material Handler for loading, unloading, sorting, staging, transporting and otherwise handling products that come into and move out of the warehouse.
In this role you will focus on:
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Safely operate Combilift, forklifts or other machinery (chainsaw) in order to complete
assigned tasks including loading and unloading, moving, staging, pulling orders
and transporting material.
Band, wrap, and tape product as needed.
Maintains condition of Warehouse work area, free of trash, product in correct
location and organized, swept floors.
Work cooperatively and productively with Supervisors and other employees in
order to complete required work load.
Provide and inspire outstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to
detail, accuracy, quality and completing assigned work in a timely manner.
Assist with inventory variances, order accuracy and track and trace issues.
Follow Lumber safety policies and procedures and encourage others to do
the same. This includes performing daily forklift safety checklists.
Reading and understanding tickets and the various codes for products
Must be able to read a tape measure .
Accurately pull daily orders.
Other duties as assigned by supervisors or management
Qualifications – A qualified candidate will:
Safely operate forklift and other machinery
Forklift experience and forklift certification preferred, but not required.
Band, wrap, tape product
Maintain work area and be organized
Responding to public address system announcements, directions from supervisors and managers, warning alarms from other forklift drivers
Walking and carrying merchandise
Great attention to detail and accuracy - be able to stand and work on your feet throughout shift as normal routine
Identify and read tickets, SKU’s, UPC labels and reports
Follow all safety procedures
Work in a team environment
Be able to bend, stoop, reach, twist, squat, push, pull, move, and lift to 50lbs
