BASIC PURPOSE: The Manager, Onboard Revenue Gift Shops & Retail at the Luxury Group (Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas) plays a pivotal role in managing Gift Shops, Retail and Port Shopping operations and sales across all Luxury Group Brands within the cruise industry. With a primary focus on meeting revenue targets, this position ensures the seamless operation of the onboard facilities and orchestrates strategic marketing campaigns. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, particularly in Vendors, Marketing, and IT, the role involves fostering partnerships, overseeing technology integration, and reviewing data analytics to optimize Gift Shops and Retail operations, enhance guest experiences, and contribute to overall revenue growth. The Manager also executes product initiatives in collaboration with Vendor Operations, ensuring a harmonious blend of marketing efforts and operational functions to drive business success and maintain the brand's commitment to excellence. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: As the Manager, Onboard Revenue Gift Shops & Retail, your primary objective is to meet revenue targets across all the Luxury Group Brands by ensuring the seamless gift shops and retail operations and delivering unparalleled experiences to enhance guests' satisfaction. Beyond overseeing gift shops and retail operations, a critical aspect of your role involves strategically focusing on marketing, where you will conceive and execute comprehensive marketing campaigns. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, particularly within Marketing, Hospitality, IT, and Vendor Operations, you will drive revenue through targeted campaigns and initiatives. Your responsibilities encompass actively cultivating partnerships to enhance gift shop offerings, implementing marketing strategies and sales programs to significantly contribute to revenue generation. Working closely with Gift Shop Vendors and Marketing team, you will craft compelling promotional materials and messaging that not only attract guests but also drive revenue growth and enhance guests' satisfaction. A major component of your role is to review and monitor data analytics and performance monitoring systems by vessel and brand. Utilizing advanced analytics tools, you will assess the effectiveness of gift shop services and marketing strategies. This data-driven approach will provide insights to optimize operations, enhance guest experiences, and contribute to revenue growth. Furthermore, your role includes collaboration with the IT department for seamless technology integration. Working closely with IT teams, you will ensure that the technological infrastructure aligns with strategic goals, enhancing the overall guest experience. Your involvement in vendor or POS integrations is crucial for managing all pricing and products related to gift shop services in the Point of Sale (POS) system, ensuring accurate information that supports streamlined sales processes and effective revenue tracking. As an added responsibility, you will collaborate with gift shop Vendor Management, to execute, market and launch product initiatives. This collaboration ensures a cohesive approach in enhancing overall guest satisfaction, driving business success, and maintaining the brand's commitment to excellence. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE: EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field of study; or any equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education. MBA preferred. EXPERIENCE: The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in cruise, resort, hotel management or a related field is required. The candidate should demonstrate a proven track record in meeting revenue targets and executing successful marketing initiatives. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: You should possess proven experience in gift shop and retail management within the cruise or hospitality industry, demonstrating strong leadership and team management skills. Your excellent communication and interpersonal abilities will be crucial in fostering partnerships and ensuring a seamless collaboration between departments. In-depth knowledge of gift shop products and industry trends is essential. A key qualification is a track record in successful marketing initiatives and creating and executing marketing campaigns. Some experience in working with IT for technology integration, vendor POS integrations, and reviewing and monitoring data analytics is also preferred. Proficient in productivity applications such as Microsoft Office, and project planning platforms. Demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate to advanced level skills in Excel and PowerPoint. Effective communication and interpersonal skills with ability to manage remote team. Demonstrated ability to complete tasks on time and within budget. Innovative problem solver to help develop operations and make sound recommendations. Ability to transform both qualitative and quantitative data into actionable reports. A thorough understanding of how to implement all new procedures and be proactive in monitoring all areas of quality control. Ability to travel for extensive periods to set-up systems, product launches and marketing initiatives for existing fleet and new builds, which includes training, marketing and brand compliance (travel approximately 20%).
