Maintenance Technician at Hormel Foods summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for advanced repair and preventative maintenance of retail equipment to minimize downtime and meet performance goals. Hiring 2nd and 3rd shifts, starting wage is between $21.25 - $36.75 per hour. Wage is based on experience with the potential to make more. Job Responsibilities 1. This position is responsible for the advanced repair and the assigned preventative maintenance of miscellaneous equipment in the Retail area, in order to eliminate down time and meet annual performance goals

Minimum Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent * Scope out work areas to insure physical safe repair work progression * Demonstrate an advanced level of mechanical aptitude with knowledge and use of various pieces of equipment not limited to hand, power, industrial tools, and precision measuring instruments * Previous work experience in welding is a plus * Meeting all safety and USDA standards * Clean safety record * Skills in Metal Fabrication * Ability to work without supervision * Must have a working knowledge of computer systems: Ability to input and extract data as it relates to the emails and the Computer Maintenance Management: Ability to look up work orders, materials, and historical records relating to plant equipment * Ability to research online, use hard cover manuals and catalogs to correctly identify the needed repairs and fabrication components for equipment modifications and repair solutions * PHYSICAL: No restrictions lifting up to 50 pounds * No restrictions on twisting, bending, squatting, and walking
