Job Title: Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team at Wilks Tire & Battery Service. This role is integral to ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our buildings through proactive maintenance and repair of various systems.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections of buildings and systems, identifying maintenance needs and safety hazards

Perform repairs and maintenance tasks on a variety of systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general carpentry

Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to building operations

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment repairs, and inventory of supplies

Collaborate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services as needed

Assist in the implementation of preventive maintenance programs to extend the life cycle of building components

Required and Preferred Qualifications

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in building maintenance or a related field is preferred

3+ years of experience in building maintenance or facilities management

Strong knowledge of various building systems and maintenance procedures

Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues

Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to multiple sites as needed

Preferred:

Certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems

Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)

Knowledge of safety regulations and building codes
