The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Summary: The Maintenance Mechanic II performs minor-skilled tasks such as repairs and adjustments necessary for proper operation of mechanical, electrical, H.V.A.C. and plumbing but not limited to the following and in the priority instructed by supervision. Problems in completing the assigned work will be reported to Supervision immediately. A. Light bulb and fuse replacement. B. Replaces ceiling tiles. C. Repairs beds, desks, chairs, file cabinets tables and other furniture. D. Assembles cabinets, chairs, shelving tables and other furniture. E. Repairs doors. F. Repairs to faucet and plumbing fixtures. G. Clearing drains. H. Repairs Nurse Call Systems. I. Clean and service fixed and portable fans and air conditioners. J. Repair kitchen equipment, dish washing machines, etc.. Knowledgeable in the operation of computerized systems and its related equipment and is capable of making necessary adjustments: i.e. Pneumatic tube system, fire alarm, chlorine systems, etc.. Responds immediately to alarms throughout the facility. Job Requirements: High School Diploma, Technical School, graduate or equivalent. Completion of apprenticeship or equivalent on the job training. One to three years in the building with background in electrical, plumbing, carpentry and H.V.A.C. equipment repair.
