ATC Healthcare Services of Atlanta and Charleston is seeking a LPN / LVN Behavioral Health for a local contract job in Milledgeville, Georgia.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Behavioral HealthDiscipline: LPN / LVNDuration: 16 weeks40 hours per weekShift: 8 hours, daysEmployment Type: Local ContractPosition Requirements- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License in the state of Georgia- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross- Minimum of one year of paid experience as an LPN in a similar settingJob Responsibilities- Administers medications, assists with patient teaching, assists Health Aides and other staff with patient care and non-clinical tasks.- Performs approved techniques to prevent and safely manage aggressive behaviors.- Documents care according to policy, provides direct care, and participates with patients in divisional activities.- Records and reports all observed signs, symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in the patient’s condition to the Registered Nurse. - Follows policies and procedures in reporting medication errors. Administers medications to patients, orally or by injection, including intra-venous medications and treatments.- Participates with interdisciplinary team.
