The Line Cook will assist in the preparation and cooking of food, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency. This role is integral in supporting kitchen operations, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to food safety standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Exemplify the Tommy's Tavern and Tap/Tio's Experience: Dedicate oneself to delivering GREAT guest service, consistently going above and beyond for both guests and team members.
2. Assist in the preparation and cooking of food items according to recipes and standards.
3. Ensure consistency and quality in food preparation and presentation.
4. Follow portion control guidelines to minimize waste.
5. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
6. Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations.
7. Monitor ingredient inventory levels and report shortages to the Assistant Kitchen Manager.
8. Conduct regular line checks to ensure proper stock and quality.
9. Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
10. Implement kitchen safety protocols to create a secure working environment.
11. Ensure kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained properly.
12. Team Collaboration:
13. Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
14. Assist in training new kitchen staff members.
15. Communicate effectively with team members and management.
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment. Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques. Ability to follow recipes and portion control guidelines. Strong attention to detail and cleanliness. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience in a high-volume restaurant setting. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools. Fast-paced restaurant environment. Requires standing for extended periods. May involve lifting heavy objects.
