JOB DESCRIPTION
The Country Club of Lansing is currently seeking experienced line cooks. Ideal candidates must have a passion for culinary arts and be hungry for knowledge and success. We are seeking individuals who possess a strong work ethic, are team players, can function at top level in a high paced environment and a willingness to go above and beyond. QUALIFICATIONS Culinary degree or equivelant experience Servsafe certified Fine dining experience
RESPONSIBILITIES Cook and prepare food to the chef's specifications Set-up and work on multiple stations with necessary supplies, stock inventory, follow recipes and plating standards. Ensure food comes out simultaneously and to customer request Set up buffet food station, properly store foods, maintain clean and safe working conditions, and train other line cooks with less experience in methods, techniques, and standards. Experience working as a Line Cook-Chef and ability to demonstrate cooking skills and technique Ability to follow oral and written instructions Working knowledge of kitchen utensils and food preparation equipment. Cooperate with supervisor, department heads and other staff. Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 35+ pounds Ability to work in standing position for long periods of time and function in busy, fast-paced environment at times. Ability to multi-task
