Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux in Southaven is seeking dedicated and passionate Line Cooks to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Line Cook, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment while maintaining consistency and adhering to Walk-On’s standards for food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook food according to the menu and customer orders, ensuring consistent taste, presentation, and quality.
  • Line Cooking: Operate and maintain the kitchen equipment (grills, fryers, stoves, etc.) while managing multiple stations on the line during peak hours.
  • Quality Control: Follow recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines. Ensure the final product meets Walk-On's quality standards.
  • Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations. Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and support a positive team environment.
  • Inventory Control: Assist in managing inventory and assist in receiving, storing, and rotating food products to prevent waste and maintain proper stock levels.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders.

Requirements:Qualifications:
  • Experience: Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar kitchen position preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge: Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment, cooking methods, and food safety standards.
  • Skills: Strong multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment. Ability to follow instructions and execute dishes according to recipe specifications.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and work in a hot, busy kitchen environment.
  • Work Ethic: Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a passion for food and customer service.
  • Team-Oriented: Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a high-energy environment.
