Job Title: Line Cook

Pay Cycle: Weekly, Hourly

Reports To: The Sandbar Manager

Job Summary: As a Line Cook at The Sandbar in Key Colony, you’ll be part of a small, energetic team serving up fresh, casual food for guests enjoying the poolside and beachside atmosphere. You’ll help prepare a variety of simple, tasty items like burgers, wraps, and snacks that match the laid-back vibe of our spot. This role is scheduled Wednesday to Sunday, primarily in the afternoons and evenings. We’re looking for someone who’s fast, focused, and ready to work together as a team to keep the food flowing and the good times rolling.


Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook casual menu items such as burgers, wraps, and snacks for guests
  • Follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines
  • Always maintain proper food temperatures and presentation quality
  • Ensure the buffet stations are consistently stocked and clean throughout the day
  • Adhere to food safety, handling, sanitation, and health department standards
  • Assist in prepping ingredients and food items needed for daily service
  • Clean and sanitize workstations, tools, and equipment after use
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth service flow
  • Monitor inventory and communicate shortages or needs to management
  • Comply with all company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a line cook, prep cook, or in a fast-paced kitchen preferred
  • Knowledge of buffet service, large batch cooking, and food safety procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency in preparation
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and during high-volume hours
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts as needed
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude

Schedule:

  • Your standard work schedule will be 5 days per week Wednesday to Sunday, with 2 days off.
