Description: The Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist is the lead of the Behavioral Health Integration team, an assimilated and integral part of the primary care team serving each patients’ whole person treatment plan needs. The Behavioral Health Therapist provides talk therapy, diagnosis, treatment planning, clinical impressions and safety evaluations, brief intervention and psychoeducation to primary care patients. In an effort to improve patient health literacy, enhance and improve treatment outcomes and to address mild and moderate behavioral health disorders the LBHT consults with medical providers, substance use disorder counselors, and the psychiatry team as part of the multidisciplinary approach to care.
Requirements: Completion of a Master's degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field; AND
Licensure with the State of California as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Psychologist
California Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) or Licensed Psychologists must maintain current and valid licensure with the Board of Behavioral Sciences or Department of Psychology. Failure to maintain a current and valid license may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
