The Lead Medical Assistant will play a pivotal role in assisting our Medical Assistants by addressing their inquiries and concerns while providing effective solutions. You will act as a vital link between the Medical Assistants and the Direct Supervisor, making strong communication and leadership skills essential. Responsibilities: Be the first point of contact for escalations from Medical Assistant team members. Provide comprehensive support for the Medical Assistant team, including all essential duties of a Medical Assistant. Assist in supervising and assessing the performance of clinic staff, including Medical Assistants and support personnel, including input for performance reviews and corrective actions. Enhance your professional knowledge through educational opportunities and relevant literature. Ensure care delivery is efficient and that patient flow is optimal at the site. Schedule patient appointments and communicate confirmations for future visits. Document patient medical information and intake data accurately. Ensure all necessary reports, labs, and information are prepared and accessible in patient charts before appointments. Perform data entry to maintain accurate patient records and charts. Address patient questions and concerns in a timely manner. Record and monitor vital signs. Coordinate with customer service representatives regarding patient inquiries. Oversee training for new and current staff alongside the Clinical Director. Promptly respond to messages and tasks, including refilling prescriptions per physician orders. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment. Assist with New Hire Training and interviewing processes. Create and manage monthly work schedules for Medical Assistants and Medical Support Representatives.
