Lactation Consultant - Women's Services

Qualifications
Education : Graduate of an approved nursing education program.
Licensure : Current RN licensure with State Board of Nursing in the applicable state of practice or current RN temporary work permit in the applicable state of practice.
Experience : None.
Certifications : Certification as a Certified Lactation Consultant (CLC) must be obtained within two years of date of hire or transfer. Must have a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Care or complete a course within their probation period. 60;
Other Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: demonstrated clinical expertise in their area of responsibility. Demonstrated skill in interpersonal relations and communications. Must have the ability to multitask and be flexible in routines. Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements: stand and walk most of the time on duty. Meet unit-specific physical demands. May be required to work differing schedules, shifts, days of the week, or work frequency according to client requirements--will work rotating weekends and some evening shifts in Family Resource Center. Equipment use specific to unit.
Preferred Education : BSN
Preferred Experience: Prefer experience in mother/baby care.
