Overview

The Key Carrier plays a vital role in managing the retail facility. This position may involve responsibilities as a cashier, receiver, or sales associate. As a Key Carrier, you will be expected to understand all aspects of store operations and step into the Store Manager role when necessary. You will also be responsible for opening and closing the store as directed. Duties and Responsibilities

Refer to the cashier, receiver, or sales associate job descriptions for specific responsibilities. Open and close the store as directed. Assist in managing the retail store and supervising store associates. Act as the Store Manager in their absence, knowing the necessary aspects of store operations. Support the day-to-day operations of the store. Help train new store associates. Maintain awareness of safety and security issues, reporting any incidents to the Store Manager promptly. Understand and implement company policies and procedures effectively. Contribute to increasing sales, maintaining profitability, and reducing controllable expenses. Help uphold the store's interior/exterior image, including staff appearance. Play an active role in personal selling. Support shrinkage control through preventative measures. Assist in resolving personnel and customer problems and complaints. Engage in all usual and customary duties in the retail apparel/footwear industry. Assist the store manager with miscellaneous duties as assigned. Understand key reports and guide associates on actions needed to meet compliance goals. Qualifications and Requirements

Ability to comprehend basic instructions. Ability to interpret various documents. Ability to apply abstract principles to complex tasks. Ability to understand and effectively respond to verbal communications. Ability to analyze information and write reports. Candidates must be able to read and understand English.
