Job Description
May be asked to teach days, evenings, hybrid/online, and in the dual enrollment program. Online/hybrid teaching requires additional campus-based training.

Special Requirements
The awarded degrees must be verifiable on a legible transcript. Degree award dates must be visible; grade cards are not accepted. All degrees and coursework must be from accredited institutions, and foreign degrees require evaluation. See our website for details.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s in journalism or communication with specialization in journalism, or
Bachelor’s in either of the above and a Master’s in English, history, communication, literature, etc., or
Possess a valid California community college teaching credential in the appropriate subject area, or
Equivalent qualifications as determined by the District.
Applicants must demonstrate sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and commitment to equity-minded practices.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience supporting arts students from underrepresented or marginalized groups, nontraditional students, multilingual students, or students with disabilities.
Working Conditions
Salary Range: $1391.74 - $1527.30 per lecture/lab unit; $1113.42 - $1221.77 per lab unit.
