Job Description
Under the direction of the department Supervisor, the Inventory Lead coordinates activities and assigns specific tasks to a group of associates in a designated area in order to achieve production goals and maximize productivity.
Start Time 5:30pm-3:30am Wednesday Off
Essential Job Functions:
- Oversee the effective and efficient completion of shift duties in all areas assigned by the Supervisor.
- Partners with other departments to ensure efficient flow of material.
- Provides verbal coaching to associates to address operational performance issues.
- Reports all operational and behavioral challenges to Supervisor in a timely manner.
- Able to access, interpret and accurately apply all systems reporting information related to the work area.
- Provide training to Inventory associates in areas such as SOP's, job specific procedures, and filling out required documentation correctly. Ensure compliance to SOP's, Housekeeping, and all other FE policies.
- Maintain a safe work environment by training personnel on safety issues, conducting safety huddles, completing safety accident and/or incident reports, and recognizing and correcting unsafe conditions or acts. Continuously maintain a clean work environment.
- Ensure employees are taking their scheduled breaks/lunches and finishing their shift on time.
- Ensure accurate and timely posting and counts of all warehouses on a daily basis.
- Coordinate essential warehouse duties such as accurate cycle counting, ensuring all voice shorts are cleared and acknowledged, and high value items are verified each day.
- Ability to coach, train, and lead work teams to achieve performance as it relates to specialization to Inventory practices, warehouse posting, and detailed research on high variances.
- Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and practices.
- Responsible for inventory accuracy; report inventory levels to prevent shortages and excessive surplus.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in a fast paced environment. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Capable of working in a cold (34 degrees F) and wet environment and be willing to work weekends.
Other Desired Qualifications/Skills:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and AS 400/ PRMS a plus
- Bilingual English/Spanish/Vietnamese
Experience:
- 2+ years of related experience
Education/Training:
- High School diploma or equivalent
