These positions are hired to teach chemistry and/or biochemistry laboratory classes. They are experienced instructors who take a leadership role among the many TAs employed by CBC.
This is an Extended Temporary Employment position. The number of candidates selected, and the exact dates of the position(s) will depend upon the teaching needs of the department.

Duties & Responsibilities Run (teach) laboratory sessions as directed by the laboratory course 30 supervisor. (Each lab section is considered FTE). Assess student lab performance and ensure lab safety protocol is followed. Grade laboratory assignments for the students in your sections. Attend and participate in weekly laboratory staff meetings (typically one hour per week). Prepare to teach lab sections. Other duties (depending on assignment and candidate experience) may include: Attending lectures.Proctoring and/or grading lecture exams.Assisting lab supervisor with observation, training, and coaching of less experienced hours and assisting students with questions via email. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong foundational knowledge of chemistry. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Preferred Qualifications Teaching experience preferred.
