Industrial Maintenance/PLC Technician

Duties/Responsibilities : This position is responsible for daily maintenance and repair of a wide range of industrial machines. Conducts preventive maintenance and repairs of machines along with facility repairs in a manufacturing environment. Successful candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance repair experience supporting a fast-paced production environment. Candidates should have a strong understanding of diagnostic and repair techniques including a solid background in electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics and PLC controlled equipment. Robotic experience is a plus. Must have a strong commitment to safety practices and accident prevention methodologies in all elements of his/her daily work. This position will repair equipment that utilize PLC Controls. Knowledge of PLC logic, programming and diagnostic tools will be helpful in this role. A prior background in PLC programming, diagnostics and repair is required. Performance in this position can be measured by the timely and safe completion of work, minimizing of machine downtime, development and utilization of diagnostic data for preventative maintenance, and thoroughness of machine repairs and installations. The ability to recognize and recommend areas for process improvement and work well in a team environment is also a necessary skill. Position Requirements : This position requires a minimum of 5 years of prior mechanical repair work experience in a manufacturing environment.  Previous PLC work experience is required. Should have a trades school certification or equivalent work experience. Completion of current formal PLC vendor training programs is required. Opening is on 1st shift.
Compensation details: 30-35.53 Hourly Wage
