Location: Southington, CT

Pay Rate: $37.00/hr

Schedule: Saturdays & Sundays: 6:45 AM 7:15 PM; Mondays & Tuesdays: 6:45 AM 3:15 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Facilities Maintenance Technician to support a medical device manufacturing facility in Southington, CT. This temp-to-perm opportunity is ideal for a mechanically inclined, highly disciplined problem-solver who thrives in a cleanroom production environment. The Maintenance Technician will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility utilities, production machinery, and support systems critical to manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Install, upgrade, troubleshoot, and maintain mechanical and electrical production equipment and facility utilities.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, boilers, BAS, chilled water systems, air compressors, DI water systems, vacuum pumps, and fire protection systems.
  • Use schematics, meters, and test equipment to diagnose and repair software-driven and variable-frequency controlled equipment.
  • Participate in and design facility upgrades; interpret construction plans and supervise subcontractors as required.
  • Assist with validation and documentation of facility areas and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate work order entries in CMMS systems.
  • Work on special maintenance and facilities projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; AAS degree, trade school, or Journeyman license (HVAC/Electrician) strongly preferred.
  • 35 years of industrial facilities or production equipment maintenance experience.
  • Background in plastic processing or medical device manufacturing environments a plus.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of facilities utilities and systems.
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic/electrical testing equipment (voltmeter, ohmmeter, VFD test).
  • Familiarity with CMMS and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to read and follow procedures, schematics, specifications, and SOPs.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be 18+ years old.
  • Ability to occasionally lift/move up to 25 lbs.
  • Comfortable working independently on a structured day/weekend shift.
  • Travel <5% as needed.
