Together with the entire team at Channing House, your role contributes to promoting a healthy and vibrant home for our residents. The Housekeeper demonstrates our Core Values: Do the right thing; Be a team player; Focus on quality; Adapt to change.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position will be responsible for, but not limited to the following essential duties and responsibilities: Housekeeping Responsibilities:Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas in order to meet health standardsDisinfect equipment and supplies, using germicides or steam-operated sterilizersMix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specificationsUse wheeled carts to transport linens, restroom supplies and cleaning suppliesEmpty wastebaskets and transport other trash and waste to disposal areaClean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies using vacuum cleanersDusts and polish furniture and equipmentMop and sanitize floors in rooms and officesSort, count and mark and store clean linens; transport soiled linen to central collection locationKeep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean and tidyPrepare rooms for meetings; arrange decor and furniture for social and business functionsRequest Facilities repair services.

Observe precautions required to protect Channing House and guest property; report damaged, theft and found articles to supervisorMaintain assigned equipment for cleanliness and recommends repairs as neededAssist in cleaning of spills when observed or upon requestSort clothing and other articles, load washing machines, iron and fold dried itemsReplenishes supplies such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies and bathroom itemsSpot clean walls and windowsPerform vacant apartment cleaning as assignedPolish silver accessories and metalwork such as fixtures and fittingsJOB REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, a person must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
