Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the housekeeping supervisor, the cleanliness of the Specialty Hospital of Central Jersey will be maintained. Perform tasks to maintain the hospital in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition complying with all state, federal, local, and Joint Commission requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. After training, one must demonstrate the correct use of chemicals, equipment, supplies, and tools as assigned. The bility to read and understand minimal English due to patient and chemical contact is preferred.

Perform terminal cleaning in discharged patient rooms, washing and changing soiled curtains, and disinfecting beds, furniture, and surfaces. Empty trash throughout the offices and units daily Buff hallways and nurses' station floors two or three times a week Other duties as assigned Ability to read and understand minimal English due to patient contact and chemical contact is preferred 3-6 months of experience preferred Physical Requirements - must be able to exert up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and /or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
